Furling systems for Code0 sails

Furling of large, flying Code0, top genoa or light wind sails:

The sail is furled around a low-torsion rope (AT line) that is sewn into the luff of the sail. Special thimbles are worked into the ends of the winding core and pressed to attach it to the furler and the swivel. The Code0 is usually attached to the bow fitting or a bowsprit before the fixed forestay. When furled, the sail can be recovered and set again quickly and easily. The endless line can be removed from the furler in a few simple steps and can remain on deck if the furler is to be lowered with the sail. The orientation of the line run-out from the furler is freely adjustable in 12 positions.

Competition or Performance - your choice!

The Competition series is made almost entirely from high-strength, seawater-resistant aluminium and has a black, matt-coated hard anodised finish. Compared to the Performance series, around 30 % of the weight is saved here. The low weight, high load capacity and reliability are particularly appreciated by ambitious regatta sailors.

The Performance series is made entirely of seawater-resistant stainless steel and has a silky matt finish. These furling systems are characterised by their exceptional robustness and are very popular with recreational and cruising sailors due to their durability and strength.

Dual use - Code0 & gennaker furling:

The Code0 furling system can easily be converted to a gennaker furling system by attaching a tack swivel. The swivel can be attached either directly to the furler or via an adapter in the fork of the furler. The adapter makes it particularly easy to switch between different sails (code 0 and gennaker). The tack swivel and the tack strap remain attached to the AT line of the gennaker when switching to a Code0, for example.

Code0 Performance

The jib furler and swivel for Code 0 sails are made of robust stainless steel and fitted with rustproof, watertight ball bearings. Sealing lips protect against water and dust. The wide fork width enables direct attachment of AT lines with thimbles. The patented quick-release pin made of duplex steel remains captive even under maximum load. A high-quality snap shackle ensures quick attachment to the deck. The endless line can be easily removed without tools, and the line runs in smoothly via rollers. The housing can be rotated in 12 positions to ensure the optimum infeed angle. A FurlStop can be installed as an option, which prevents the furler from turning back and only allows freewheeling again once a latching force has been overcome.
