Furling systems for Code0 & Gennaker
Safe furling of your Code0 or gennaker:
Our furling systems enable the safe furling of large, flying top genoa or light wind sails. The sail is furled around a low-torsion rope (AT line) that is sewn into the luff of the sail. Special thimbles are incorporated and pressed at the ends of the winding core to attach it to the furler and the swivel.
For asymmetrical sails such as gennakers, we offer the "top down method". Here, the sail is rolled up from above around the freely tensioned winding core (AT line with "anti-twist sheathing"). This method guarantees safe setting and retrieval of large sails, even with a small crew. When rolled up, the sail can be stowed away quickly, safely and in a space-saving manner.
You have a choice of five sizes and two material types and colours: the sporty aluminium furling system in black or the elegant stainless steel version in a satin finish. Both furling systems are suitable for both Code0 and gennakers and enable efficient furling. The furling systems are supplied ready to install and ready-made.

Code0 Performance
The jib furler and swivel for Code 0 sails are made of robust stainless steel and fitted with rustproof, watertight ball bearings. Sealing lips protect against water and dust. The wide fork width enables direct attachment of AT lines with thimbles. The patented quick-release pin made of duplex steel remains captive even under maximum load. A high-quality snap shackle ensures quick attachment to the deck. The endless line can be easily removed without tools, and the line runs in smoothly via rollers. The housing can be rotated in 12 positions to ensure the optimum infeed angle. A FurlStop can be fitted as an option, which prevents the furler from turning back and only allows freewheeling again once a latching force has been overcome.
Codeo Competition
The jib furler and swivel for Code 0 sails are made of lightweight, black anodised aluminium and are equipped with rustproof, waterproof ball bearings. Gennaker Performance
The jib furler and swivel for gennaker sails are made of high-quality stainless steel and fitted with rustproof, watertight ball bearings. The tack swivel for top-down furling can be mounted directly on the jib furler or attached using an adapter for quick sail changes. Sealing lips protect against water and dust. FurlStop for Code0 & Gennaker Furler
The FurlStop is an optional addition for size II and III jib furlers. It allows the sail to be furled freely in one direction and prevents the furler from turning back unintentionally. This means that the sail can be furled with just one hand - there is no need to change hands and the sail does not unfurl on its own. Only when the FurlStop's latching force has been overcome does the furling direction become free again and the sail can be unfurled smoothly. The FurlStop works equally in both furling directions and is wear-free thanks to the elastomer latching technology. Ideal for effortless handling and reliable protection (up to the latching force) against unwanted unfurling of the sail.
Cervical vertebra adapter
The tack swivel adapter enables a quick change between different sails, especially between a Code0 and a gennaker. The tack swivel remains on the furled gennaker together with the AT line, making the changeover seamless and efficient. The jib furler and swivel can be attached directly to the AT lines of other sails, allowing versatile and repeated use with multiple sails. This flexible solution saves time and effort when changing sails, ideal for changeable conditions or quick adjustments while sailing.
Cervical vertebrae
Neck swivels are essential for furling gennakers using the top-down furling method. They enable the sail to be furled from top to bottom, whereby the neck of the sail remains decoupled from the turning movement and is only furled at the end. The ease of movement of the tack swivels is crucial for high functionality. Our swivels are therefore made entirely of stainless steel, including the balls, which on larger models are even made of hard metal - without Torlon balls, which can deform or wear out. This guarantees long-lasting, reliable performance and prevents unnecessary wear and tear during the rolling process.
Cabelless thimbles
Modern Code0 sails do without the integrated AT line and instead rely on reinforcements that are integrated directly into the sail. These reinforcements are connected to the Cabelless thimbles via webbing loops on the neck and head. The thimbles can be attached directly to the jib furler and the swivel, which ensures a compact and tidy setup. This modern technology does not impair the furling process, but actually improves it. The sail is lighter and easier to stow in a bag when furled, as stiff AT rigging is no longer required. This makes both handling and stowing much easier.
